About This Book
The International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) governs the design and installation of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances through both prescriptive and performance-based requirements. Notable updates introduced in the 2021 edition include the following: concealed condensate piping terminations must now be clearly labeled to identify whether they serve as the primary or secondary drain; press-connect joints are now permitted for high-pressure applications (exceeding 5 psi) in indoor settings; and commercial cooking appliances are prohibited from being installed within dwelling units.
