What's on This Practice Exam

The National Real Estate Broker Supplemental Exam tests the knowledge and skills you need to operate as a licensed broker. The real exam consists of 80 questions with a 150-minute time limit, and you'll need to score at least 70% to pass.

Our practice exam gives you two ways to prepare:

  • Free practice exam — Get started immediately with 10 questions per attempt, drawn from a limited question pool. There's no sign-up required to try it, and you can retake it as many times as you like to get comfortable with the question format and difficulty level. It's a great way to gauge where you stand before committing to full prep.

  • Full practice exam — The serious prep option. This mirrors the real exam with 80 questions and a 150-minute timed session, pulled from a pool of 518+ practice questions. Because every attempt draws from such a large pool, you'll never see the exact same exam twice — meaning more exposure to more content with every retake. All questions are built around the official exam topics provided by the test provider.

Topics Covered

The full practice exam covers all 11 topic areas tested on the real exam:

  • Property Ownership — Estates, rights, co-ownership structures, and how property is legally held
  • Land Use Controls — Zoning laws, eminent domain, environmental regulations, and government restrictions on land
  • Valuation and Market Analysis — Appraisal methods, comparative market analysis, and factors that affect property value
  • Financing — Mortgage types, loan structures, lending regulations, and the financing process
  • Contracts — The largest topic on the exam, covering offer and acceptance, contract validity, contingencies, and breach
  • Agency — Broker-client relationships, fiduciary duties, disclosure requirements, and agency types
  • Property Disclosures — Required disclosures for material facts, environmental hazards, and seller obligations
  • Property Management — Landlord-tenant law, lease agreements, and management responsibilities
  • Transfer of Title — Deeds, closing procedures, title insurance, and how ownership legally changes hands
  • Practice of Real Estate — License law, fair housing, advertising rules, and professional conduct
  • Real Estate Calculations — Math problems covering commission, proration, loan calculations, and investment returns

How This Practice Exam Helps

Passing a broker exam takes more than reading — you need to apply what you know under realistic conditions. Our practice exams are built to replicate that pressure.

The full practice exam puts you on the clock with the same 150-minute window you'll face on exam day. After each attempt, you'll receive a score breakdown by topic, so you can see exactly where you're strong and where you need more work. Whether it's Contracts or Real Estate Calculations tripping you up, you'll know precisely where to focus.

Because the full exam pulls from a pool of 518+ questions, every retake presents a fresh challenge. You won't memorize a single set of answers — you'll actually learn the material.

Start with the free exam to get a feel for the question style. When you're ready to prepare in earnest, the full practice exam gives you the depth and repetition you need to walk into test day with confidence.
